Designed for application to erected steelwork our water based FIRETEX® FX5000 series are suitable for use in internal environments; Z2 up to Y categories where they provide a long term, cost effective fire protection solution.

Formulated for ease of application FIRETEX® water based intumescent coatings can be used to provide a great visual appearance on steelwork which will be visible in the finished building.

FIRETEX® FX5090 has certified loadings for time periods from 15 to 120 minutes, it is primarily designed to meet the needs of 90 minute fire protection projects, but also finds use on 120 minute projects.

0 - Steel: Blast-cleaned to Sa 2 1/2 according to ISO 8501-1

1 - Primer: Macropoxy® 400 Series

2 - Intumescent: FIRETEX® FX5090

3 - Topcoats: FIRETEX® M71V2, Acrolon® 7300 Series or Sher-Cryl® M770
